Freebies forever: A/B/T-line materials, connector-loop parts, linkline parts, adjuster-line parts, mooring-loop material. Endloop kits and parts. Tuning rulers. Patching film. As long as our supplies last (our supplies are extensive which is why we say freebies "forever"). By e-mail, ask for the specific items you need and we'll mail them to you anywhere in the world for free.
Source of lines, winders, handles:
Purchase control lines and card winders from HANG-EM-HIGH ONLINE STORE. Order "Spectra1000" control lines (80#, 150#, 200#, sold by the foot); order "Winder - Lazy 8" LaserPro winders (same as ours but without the shockcord). Ask us for free endloop kits (for the control lines). Another source for Spectra line: sport-fishing retailers; most of the world's extended chain polyethylene (ECPE) line is manufactured for fishing. See our "Tips" page about what kind of Spectra line to avoid and how to make your lines last a long time.
Make your own Ergonomic T-handles from our online instructions.
WindDance2000 manufacturing plans. Did you accidentally destroy your WindDance while having WTMF (way too much fun)? Worry not. Make a new one. Or have someone make it for you.
How to make or replace WindDance bridle lines. It's easy, really.
Do-it-yourself bridle-assembly upgrade (Aug-2000): Information , Illustrated Instructions (PDF).
User's Manual (v.2002a): Looseleaf (PDF) , Booklet (PDF).
Our most valuable support? The KNOWLEDGE we provide. Study the user's manual, and our online archive (see How to Use this Website):
Begin with the "QUICK START" at the top of p.1 of the user's manual, which directs you to proceed through the "CHECKLIST" and perhaps to the "Problems & Solutions" section. Your reward for reading & heeding these simple ABCs? No collapsing or tangling, and loads of visual and physical fun from the very start!
The BASICS. These fundamentals of FLYING a dual-line kite -- they provide visual and physical speed-and-turning excitement and high-quality exercise -- are well worth learning by newbies and experts. If you received your kiting education and gear and skills from organized kiting and its kite culture, chances are you don't know many of the fundamentals -- such as this one: Just PULL It! -- because serious deficiencies in the kites, control handles/bars, and skills provided by organized kiting prevent the fundamentals from happening.
TIPS. They explain how to apply the primary fundamental ("Pull = speed = FLYING") with active basic skill ("Just PULL It!" by using a natural way of holding and moving your arms). They advise how to get the most out of your gear.
Want to become an awesomely good FLYER? First, learn simple kite-FLYING theory. Even children intuitively understand it. Then, learn how to hold and move your arms, and how to fly by feel -- so you can apply that simple theory. The user's manual and our website -- including these hints -- tell you how. Practice the many fun "WindDancing" things in the user's manual, pp.26-28.
A well-maintained fun machine (including peak tuning) + natural sense-and-respond active FLYING skill = WTMF (way too much fun). Achieve all this pure fun from the good gear and basic KNOWLEDGE we provide! Happy WindDancing!
