When you place your order, your name and address and credit-card details are stored on a SSL secured server on www.aitsafe.com using high-grade encryption; read the security certificate which verifies that.
We retrieve your encrypted data from the remote SSL secured server with a 128-bit-encrypted browser. The server requires two passwords for us to gain entry.
Immediately after printing out (retrieving) your data, we delete your encrypted data from the remote secure server, and we delete the browser cache files from our hard drive. At the end of the week we defragment our hard drives to remove all traces of the data.
When your data is on a computer during the online purchase process, we minimize the exposure. Usually it remains on the remote SSL secured server for 18 hours at most before we retrieve and delete it. It remains in browser cache files on our computer for only a few minutes before we delete those cache files.
Only the owners and operators of Seattle AirGear -- that's us, Dan & Sue Ruuska -- ever see your credit-card information. We do not save your retrieved data file on our hard drive. We do not enter your credit-card data into our computer.
During the brief period when we are online retrieving your data from the remote secure server, the likelihood is nil that anyone on the internet can read the browser cache files containing your data because the files are encrypted.
Also we are well-protected by a router firewall, by secure network settings, by a software firewall, and against viruses and spyware that can steal data.
