Privacy policies
- We do not read or retrieve cookie data. Your browser cookies do not have to be enabled. Neither do Javascript, Java, or ActiveX.
- While we are connected to the internet, the likelihood is nil that others can access your sales-transaction information or any email you have sent because we are well-protected by a router firewall, by secure network settings, by a software firewall, and against viruses and spyware that can steal data.
- Only the two owners of Seattle AirGear ever see your credit-card info. Nobody else does.
- We do not enter credit-card information into our computer.
When customers do send us credit-card info by email (a dangerous practice because all email is interceptable enroute and is therefore public), it does enter our computer. After we print it out, we delete it. At the end of the week we defragment our hard drives which removes all the traces. Email is insecure. The secure way to send credit-card info is by phone call, by fax, or by ordering online.
- We do not transmit any customer information to others. Out of respect for consumer privacy, we don't even make a list of our customers.
- Our phone is hard-wired. With a cordless phone or cell phone, credit-card information can be heard or recorded by others listening in with scanners.
- When faxing the ORDER FORM, we advise you to dial our fax number very carefully otherwise someone else will receive the fax including your credit-card data.
