Are WindDances for real?
Yes, very much so. But, as we begin to explain in What's New, many kite experts and kite shops don't want you to think so. Why? Because the REALITY of WindDancing clashes with the kite-culture BELIEFS that drive organized kiting.
Here's what's happening in regard to just one of those beliefs: Organized kiting believes that delta kites are far superior to parafoil kites. So strongly that when they see WindDance parafoils flying better than deltas they cannot accept that reality . . . nor can they allow anybody else to know how good our parafoils are.

Some think we are "waging war" against organized kiting. They are mistaken. We are merely functioning as a war correspondent, reporting organized kiting's unwitting war against "the essence of kite FLYING": 1) Against highly versatile kites (especially parafoils) that are aeronautical-engineered to FLY wonderfully in the three essential ways. 2) Against the easy basic skill needed for the hottest-possible performance and the best-possible exercise. 3) Against the new hand-friendly T-handles that enhance performance and exercise. They can't help it: their beliefs make them do it.
Some think we are being "negative." They are mistaken, too. What's negative are the many casualties of that war . . . including organized kiting itself. Learn more . . . including how you might be a victim.
